One thing I really like about Pak Mei is use of the arms as frames. The initial block goes directly into a frame that can control the inside of the elbow (whether you do Tai Chi or wrestling, you should know this is a very strong method of control), and then the chop to the neck makes a second frame. Even if you stopped there, the opponent will have to clear those arms or step back before they can continue attacking. Even better, the hands are in a position with those frames to pull with a significant amount of leverage (those two locations are used for one of the strongest Judo grips).

This is WONDERFUL. As a Hung Kuen practitioner myself, I just wish that Lau Kar Leung Sifu had the opportunity to witness a similar product made for our style. As a Gamer, there are few titles that accurately represent Kung Fu styles and it's incredibly frustrating (as much as I otherwise enjoy the games). Virtua Fighter is the only series that has faithful-ish depictions and even then they often fuse styles to appear more spectacular.

Real Kung Fu, not that bullshit Ranton (a RUclipsr) tried to gaslight his viewers into believing was real Fu (because he'd been convinced by BS).

That wide stance with a bad angle is going to get ben kicked in the nuts. This is a bad example of Pak Mei.

I´m very impressed,I come from WING CHUN and JEET KUNE DO...! I´ll try to integrate some PAK MEI into my JKD,fits well with the strategy of intercepting...! I'm a Wing Chun student and once I am proficient in it, I'm going to take up Bak Mei on the side. There are a few similarities in both arts, since they some from the same region and have similar roots. Hopefuly my knowledge of Wing Chun will help me learn Bak Mei quicker.

Great explanation! Same as the original Wing Chun. Not for everyone, the proper personal character is needed and is inborn. Other story is training only for health, art or sport. Then anyone can do it. But not for self defence. 🙏

OK SO. Bruce Lee core base, wing chun. + all the protoMMA he did. Now lets see something like that but with Bak Mei as its base core. I think that would be fun.
